EconomicsAmerica® Schools Program

The EconomicsAmerica Schools Program is a comprehensive program of the Council for Economic Education and its Network of affiliated State Councils and university-based Centers for Economic Education. The EconomicsAmerica Schools Program helps schools and school districts to (1) set standards, (2) train teachers, (3) develop curriculum, and (4) evaluate results, so that every student leaves twelfth grade with at least a basic level of economic literacy.

The Council for Economic Education makes available classroom-tested instructional materials for all grade levels, and the State Councils and local Centers provide professional development courses and workshops for teachers as well as assistance to schools in the development of curricula. These materials and programs help schools meet state academic standards in social studies and economics.

The EconomicsAmerica Schools Program allows school districts to design an economic education curriculum and professional development programs tailored to their needs.

Become a Participating School District

Schools and school districts can join our EconomicsAmerica® Schools Program by establishing an economic curriculum development program across all grade levels. Participating schools receive a 20% discount on all Council for Economic Education publications.
