Learn how to create teaching videos to help students rewind and fast forward your lessons from the comfort of their homes.  Teachers are encouraged to bring their iPads to this session but other resources will be presented.  This workshop will walk teachers through how to use ShowMe, Educreations and Google Forms to create high-powered lesson videos and how to use the resources of CEE’s Capstone book to support their teaching of complex economic concepts. Instead of focusing class time on lecturing about the various concepts, now teachers can use the activity-based lessons from Capstone and our AP Economics books to reinforce economic concepts and assess their students’ knowledge of Economics. The last half hour will include websites which all teachers can use to teach economics. Included will be access to film clips (“I Love Lucy”and “Seinfeld”) plus “Using Music to Teach Economics”, and other resources.

Participants will receive a free copy of Capstone: Exemplary Lessons for teaching High School Economics publication light dinner, handouts, technology integration, creative lessons, and networking with colleagues.

Registration and dinner begin at 4:00 p.m.
