Principles of Economics for Prospective Teachers

This publication is intended for use by college and university faculty members involved in the preparation of future teachers. It discusses the role of economic education coursework in teacher-training programs and provides model syllabi for a two-course sequence of instruction in macro- and microeconomics for prospective elementary and high school teachers. The model syllabi might be used by faculty members in economics and education to develop new economics courses for prospective teachers or to strengthen existing courses.
