April is National Financial Literacy Month!
Help your students improve their understanding of personal finance concepts and real-world circumstances by playing the free online game Gen I Revolution. The game teaches investment and personal finance skills to middle and high school students through 15 interactive missions where students battle the Murktide and save the world from financial confusion.
How to play:
1. Sign up as a “Teacher” at www.genirevolution.org.
2. Assist your students with registering as “Students” after you create your class. Students can play individually or in teams.
3. Students become operatives to help Monique, the leader of Gen I Revolution, conquer the Murktide by playing 15 missions and earning points based on each mission’s goals.
4. Ensure all of your students complete all 15 missions by April 30 to be eligible to win prizes from CEE!
First prize: One teacher whose class completes all 15 missions with the highest average score will win 2 registration tickets to the 51st Annual Financial Literacy and Economic Education Conference in Kansas City, MO, October 5-6, 2012.
Second prize: One teacher from each state whose class completes all 15 missions with the highest average score will win a Financial Fitness for Life CD-Rom.
