Inspiring Morning at the NYC Women’s Breakfast
The 2023 NYC Women’s Breakfast was an inspiring event! CEE Board Chair Rebecca Patterson led a fantastic panel with Constance Hunter (Executive Vice President, Global Head of Strategy & ESG at AIG) and Holly H. MacDonald (Chief Investment Officer at Bessemer Trust). They spoke about their outlook on the U.S. economy, upcoming actions from the Fed, interest rates, and potential challenges and opportunities with China.
We also heard from current Invest in Girls students–the next generation of leaders in finance! The students shared their experiences and how the program has made a difference in their knowledge and interests. We are grateful for all who attended. It was great to connect with leaders in the NYC community who share our mission to help youth gain financial and economic knowledge for life.

About CEE
The Council for Economic Education’s mission is to teach K-12 students about economics and personal finance so that they can make better decisions for themselves, their families and their communities. We carry out our mission by providing resources and training to K-12 educators and have done so for 70 years. Nearly 2/3 of the teachers we reach in person are in low- and moderate-income schools.
