Student Guidelines

Are you ready for the Challenge?

Follow the steps below for everything you need to get started.

Step 1 - Team Sign-up and Student Registration
  • First, get a teacher or school coach to register your team. Here is the registration link to share with your teacher: Register. Your teacher will provide a class code for you to complete student registration.

Your teacher will register your team in either the Adam Smith Division for advanced placement, international baccalaureate and honor students or the David Ricardo Division for semester general students.

Step 2- How it Works
  • Competitions are held at the State, National Semi-Final, and National Final levels. Student teams compete on their knowledge, skills, and ability to work collaboratively to progress through multiple rounds which measure comprehension and application of concepts related to a rapidly changing global economy. Mark your calendar!

Step 3 - Prepare!
  • The program scores based on knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and current global events. Teams typically meet a few weeks prior to the State Challenge to prepare. Remember, it’s important you practice as a team!
